my husband’s family is planning a trip to Disney between his 4 siblings there are 6 kids under 8 (ages: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

I DO NOT get along with his parents since I had my son they don’t like the way I raise him and he has been “uninvited” to family events in the past becuase of his “inability” to be away from me and their unwillingness to work something out (he was exclusively breastfed and I was a stay at home mom 2 things they hated) these are choices my husband and I made together

but yet he refuses to stand up for them when his mother makes a comment like “but wouldn’t 2 incomes be better” he says something like “yeah I guess I would be nice” Their family will put children in developmentally inappropriate situations to get adult time. I will not allow this with my son and my husband won’t back me up. For example taking a 3 year old to a supper club to play cards at 8 o’clock at night when they should be in bed and expecting them to sit there and ignore them.

My husband would never do this without his family there but would do it if his mother told him to. My son is not used to sitting and being seen and not heard like their children who are frequently put in these positions and he will want to be involved something I would perfer and I would let him play cards with me, and this pisses them off.

So we will be staying together and have 2 vehicles rented by his parents and we will have to go where the say when or stay in the air B&B. Am I the AH for not wanting to go with my 3 year old? Also they don’t plan anything so I don’t even know what we are doing when or what time. I was only told we are flying out of Appleton renting a house for a week and maybe doing Disney 1 or 2 days in that week.
